Well, I’m new at this so let’s see what happens! I’ve been reading some cool blogs at momtothescreamingmasses.typepad.com & simplicitysoup.com and thought I’d start my own. Right now I’m looking into riding lessons at Wild About Horses Equestrian Center near Lafayette. And I can’t wait…I’m like little kid excited. When I stopped to meet the owner, she opened the stalls & let me meet the horses AKA I tried to get as much horsey smell on me as possible. Hopefully this will be the beginning towards eventually owning horses on this piece of land here in Indiana!! After the boys grow up a bit more & can appreciate having barn chores! Oscar & Scruffy, the dogs are inside with me, snoring away. Kind of distracting, loud, obnoxious snoring. So, good bye for now!
The Big Turnoff
The Big Turnoff is coming to my home soon at a yet-to-be disclosed date! We are unplugging the TV, VCR & DVD player ALL SUMMER! Will it be the best decision made or will I be desperate to plug it back in? We don’t have satellite TV so we already get no actual TV channels or anything but we do Netflix over the winter & we own a few movies. And by a few I mean I can sing any song from most Disney movies & all the songs from Veggie Tales! I am hoping to be able to hear God clearer, have more family play time outside especially, & play more games. Those are my goals just off the top off my head. Things to do instead of TV:play Twister outside, go on a walk, play with my boys, draw, run with my dogs, write a letter. The list goes on. We’ll get more & more creative as the summer goes on hopefully. On November 1st I’ll be running my first (& maybe last) mini-marathon in Indianapolis! So some of that time will be devoted to training my soon-to-be 28 year old body! I bought eye firming cream the other day; so isn’t that the official bridge to ‘geriatrics’? I don’t feel 28 & definitely don’t act it.
